Also things that involve Varga adjusting his rescue plan to account for a few non-human slaves that need his help. ![]() Varga makes her hope there might be more for her and, well, THINGS HAPPEN. She might have a not-so-great job, but it's better than the alternative. As much as she might dream of a different life, she tries to be realistic. I mean, he might be big and brawny and downright terrifying sometimes, but he has that mile-wide noble streak that won't let him walk away when things go bad.įrankly, Joan's not in a terrible position (which isn't saying much since she's a slave in a precarious position on an awful mining world where only her ability to cook has kept her out of the depths) when Varga saunters in. ![]() When Varga set out (at the end of the last book) to track down humans who have been enslaved, OF COURSE you knew he'd end up with his HEA. ![]()
